Fantasy Movie

          Movies are created for us to entertain but are you aware on the effect that we can get from watching it? There is different genre like action, comedy, horror, romance, and of course fantasy. This entire genre was created with different purpose and will also give us different effect in life.

          Some of the best movies that our society watched is “Harry Potter”, this kind of film was belong to a fantasy genre, because it shows some magical scenes and places that are not existing in the real life. Magical spell through magical wand can make things flow through the air and sometimes it can make fire through one wave of the wand, these are the impossible things in real life and possible through the film of a camera.

          I read some article entitled “Fantasy movies boostcreativity in children: Study” by QMI AGENCY this article talks about the study from England's Lancaster University saying that watching a fantasy movie will improve our imagination and creativity. They tested some children and let them watch harry potter and they discovered that every children that watch the magical scenes are scored significantly better on creative tests. The testing included asking the children to pretend they were a rabbit or driving a car. They were also asked to think of different ways of putting plastic cups in a bin and for alternative uses for the cups. “Magical thinking enables children to create fantastic imaginary worlds, and in this way enhances children's capacity to view the world and act upon it from multiple perspectives.” This line tells me that when we are watching some fantasy movie our minds are opening to discovered new things and create new things based on the impossible things that we see from the film. Every bit of magic has a very important role in improving our mind to be more creative.

          Magic is not all about magic but it was about the lesson that we can learn from it and the new things that we can create through it. Magical places that is never been exist will be possible to exist in the real life because of the creative mind that fantasy movie created.
